Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and StyleLine FZE, a company registered in the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"), for the use of SSL Clock. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use SSL Clock for a company, you agree for that company.

The service

SSL Clock checks the TLS certificates served on public hostnames you add, looks up domain registration expiry and public Certificate Transparency logs, and sends alerts by email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, webhook, PagerDuty and, where available, SMS. It also offers a free SSL checker, a REST API, team seats and optional public status pages.

Accounts

  • Give a real email address and keep your password and API keys safe. You are responsible for activity under your account and your API keys.
  • Account owners control their team members and what they can do.
  • Tell us at support@sslclock.com if you think your account has been misused.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Monitor or check hosts you do not control or have no permission to check, or use SSL Clock or its API to scan hosts at abusive rates.
  • Try to reach private networks, bypass limits, or break or overload the service.
  • Use the service for anything illegal, or to send spam through our alert channels.
  • Resell the service without our written agreement.

We may limit, suspend or remove accounts or monitors that break these rules.

Plans and billing

  • Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. Prices are on the pricing page and are in US dollars. Taxes may be added where required.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time in the app. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to the Free plan.
  • When you change plans, Stripe works out the difference for the rest of the period.
  • Payments are not refundable and we do not give refunds for partial periods, unless the law requires it.
  • If a payment fails, we email you and keep your plan for a short grace period. If it still fails, the account moves to the Free plan.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal.

Plan limits

Each plan has limits on monitors, team seats, check frequency and SMS. They are listed on the pricing page. If you go over a limit, for example after a downgrade, the newest monitors pause until you are back within the limit.

Availability

We work to keep SSL Clock running and checking around the clock, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. The Free plan comes with no service level agreement. Paid plans have no service level agreement unless we agree one with you in writing.

Alerts are best effort

SSL Clock is a safety net. Checks run on a schedule, alerts depend on third parties such as email, Slack, Teams, PagerDuty and SMS providers, and public data sources like RDAP and crt.sh can be wrong or unavailable. An alert may arrive late or not at all. You remain responsible for renewing your certificates and domains on time.

SMS terms

  • Program. SSL Clock SMS alerts send account notifications about the certificates and domains you monitor: expiry warnings, certificate errors, certificate changes, domain expiry, new certificates seen in Certificate Transparency logs, test messages you trigger, and one-time verification codes.
  • Opt-in. You opt in by entering your mobile number in Settings and confirming it with the code we text you. SMS is available on the Pro and Business plans.
  • Frequency. Message frequency varies with your monitors and alert settings, up to your plan's monthly SMS limit.
  • Cost. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Stop. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You can also remove your number in Settings at any time.
  • Help. Reply HELP for help, or email support@sslclock.com.
  • Privacy. We do not share or sell mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data to third parties for marketing. See our privacy policy.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your data

You keep ownership of the data you add. You let us use it to run the service as described in our privacy policy.

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of check results, or that the service will be error free.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, including losses from an expired certificate or domain or a missed or late alert. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you have not paid us anything. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You can stop using SSL Clock and cancel your subscription at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@sslclock.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or others at risk, and will tell you unless the law or security reasons stop us. Sections that by their nature should continue after the end of the agreement, such as payment owed, disclaimers and limits of liability, continue.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, email account owners before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Sharjah and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Sharjah have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
